CONS:
Not So Cheap
With so many competitors out there, the $530 price tag for the complete Arlo home security camera system seems a tad bit high. Sure, the cameras are great and comes with a free app for functionality, but in this day and age, there are many options available for less money.
Poor Battery Life
The new and improved Arlo Pro camera uses CR123a batteries that will last a few months maximum based on how often you use your cameras. While this may not seem like a hassle to some, for others it is not optimal considering some competitors have cameras that require one battery change per year.
Motion Detection Issues
Yes, we admitted that Arlo has amazing camera quality. However, this benefit only comes into play when it is capturing what it’s supposed to. Sometimes there’s a delay with Arlo cameras that doesn’t always capture motion when it should. We advise that you keep your camera software updated to avoid this issue.
